MondayMakers and a lot of WIPs

I am so happy about my newests Project: The maniac Flying Geese Mini for the IG-Miniquilt Swap. My idea works and I already made more than half of it. Stay tuned to see it finished.

Ich bin so glücklich darüber, wie mein neustes Projekt anläuft. Der Maniac Flying Geese Mini für den IG Miniquilt Swap. Meine Idee funktioniert und ich habe schon mehr als die Hälfte genäht. Bleibt dran, um das Teil in Gänze zu sehen.

I made the templates with EQ7 and I am so glad, I bought it 2 years ago. I am a really rudimentary user of it but some day I will learn what the program can do else.

Ich hab mir die Vorlagen mit EQ7 erstellt und bin so froh, dass ich mir das vor 2 Jahren gekauft habe. Ich bin echt ein sehr oberflächlicher Benutzer und werde hoffentlich irgendwann mal dieses Programm besser bedienen lernen.

On Saturday we met with the Berlin Modern Quilt Guild and we had so much fun. We were laughing all the time and this was not really the right time to start a paper piecing project. I had to rip off my small stitches so often.... What a great time we had!

Am Samstag haben wir und mit der Berlin Modern Quilt Guild getroffen und hatten so einen Spaß. Wir haben so viel gelacht, ich weiß nicht, ob das so gut war, hier mit einem Paper Piecing Projekt zu starten. Man habe ich viele kleine Stiche aufgetrennt... Wir hatten einen grandiosen Nachmittag!

And here is the next WIP I am working on at the Moment. It´s a Mini for Swap°pen auf Deutsch. I made my pattern on EQ7 as well and started to make 3 prototypes to see in a mosaic, how it will look when finished. I like it, so I will go on with this :).

Und hier ist mein nächster WIP an dem ich zur Zeit sitze. Es wird ein Miniquilt für Swap°pen auf Deutsch. Ich habe die Vorlage mit EQ7 erstellt und erstmal 3 Prototypen genäht, um in einem Mosaik zu sehen, wie das ganze zusammen aussieht. Gefällt mir, also mach ich weiter :).

HAHA, ok, this was my EQ7 week. I couldn´t resist to join my first 4x5 Bee - the 4x5 Modern Quilt Bee and I am in the paper piecing Group. So I thought it would be great wo make my own pattern and here you go....

HAHA, ok, das war dann wohl meine EQ7-Woche. Ich konnte nicht wiederstehen mich bei einer 4x5 Bee anzumelden, der 4x5 Modern Quilt Bee und ich bin in der Paper Piecing Gruppe. Also hab ich mir gedacht, es wäre doch klasse, meinen eigene Vorlage zu basteln und hier ist sie...

By the way: 4x5 Bee means, you chose the block you will sew for the others in their colorsway and they will sew the block they have chosen for me in my colorsway.

Übrigens bedeutet 4x5 Bee, dass ich mir einen Block aussuche, den ich für meine Mitstreiter in deren Farben nähe und meine Bee-Kumpels nähen ihren ausgewählten Block für mich in meinen Farben.

Hope you like my teaser Pictures for my new quilt pattern Diamonds in Diamonds -it will be available next Monday... so excited about that.

Hoffe, ihr mögt meine kleinen Vorschaubilder von meiner neuen Quiltanleitung Diamonds in Diamonds - ab nächsten Montag ist sie dann zu haben... bin schon sehr aufgeregt.

I had some renovations to do at home and I am still not ready with unpacking all stuff, but there are the good parts of it - resorting threads for example :).

Ich hatte ja ein paar Renovierungsarbeiten zu erledigen und bin immer noch nicht mit dem Auspacken fertig, aber das da oben sind die schönen Dinge zum Wiedersortieren - Garne :).

And yesterday evening I started again to make some sleepingbag pouches for a market... I am still not tired to make them ...

Und gestern Abend habe ich wieder mal angefangen ein paar Schlafsäckchenmäppchen zu nähen für einen Markt... ich hab immer noch nicht genug davon...

Monday Makers meet the Around the World Blog Hop

Welcome to my turn on the Around the World Blog Hop. Today you will be visiting Germany!  Thanks to the lovely Nesta from Ella and Nesta that she nominate me. Herzlich Willkommen beim Around the World Blog Hop, heute seid ihr bei mir in Deutschland! Vielen lieben Dank an Nesta von Ella and Nesta,  dass sie mich nominiert hat. Ich habe mich riesig gefreut und geehrt gefühlt, dass sie mich ausgesucht hat auf dieser Reise. Schaut doch mal bei ihr vorbei, sie war letzte Woche dran mit ihrem Stopp in Italien. Sie ist mit ihren Kreationen oft außerhalb meiner Komfortzone, was mir an ihr so gefällt.

Und nun zurück zum Blog Hop und zum Beantworten von einigen Fragen...

1. Where I live or have lived?  Wo ich lebe oder gelebt habe?

I am a Berliner and it seams as if I don´t want to live somewhere else (I tried), but you never know :).

Ich bin eine Berlinerin und es sieht aus, als ob ich auch nirgenwo anders wohnen möchte (ich hab´s versucht), aber man weiß ja nie :).

2. What am I working on?      Woran arbeite ich gerade?

At the moment I try to finish a sleepingbag pouch with really small hexies for a special lady, hope to surprise her with this :).

Im Moment versuchte ich ein Schlafsäckchenmäppchen mit wirklich kleinen Hexies fertig zu bekommen für eine ganz besondere Lady. Ich hoffe, ich kann sie damit überraschen :).

And I am nearly finishing my first quilt pattern: the Diamonds in Diamonds. Pattern writing could be my newest obsession.

Und ich hab meine erste Quilt-Anleitung fast fertig: Diamonds in Diamonds. Anleitungen schreiben könnte meine neuste Leidenschaft werden.

  

3. How does my work differ from others in its genre?      Wie unterscheidet sich meine Arbeit von anderen in meinem Genre?

That´s a hard question and I think other could better answer this one.

Das ist eine schwere Frage und ich denke, dass andere sie besser beantworten können.

4. Why do I write/create what I do?      Warum schreibe oder gestalte das was ich eben schreibe und gestalte?

This is an easy question: Because it satisfies me an it makes me happy. I really love what I do.

Das hier ist dafür eine einfache Frage: Weil es mich zutiefst befriedigt und glücklich macht. Ich liebe wirklich, was ich da mache.

5. How does my writing/creating process work?  Wie funktioniert mein Schreib- oder Kreativprozess?

I am very intuitive and spontanous, I love working on more than one project and I love to write it down an show pictures... it's like a creative diary.

Ich bin sehr intuitiv un spontan und liebe es an mehreren Projekten gleichzeitig zu sitzen und darüber zu schreiben und Bilder zu zeigen... es ist wie ein Kreativtagebuch.

Ein Teil dieses Blog Hops ist, sich selbst vorzustellen und der andere jemanden zu nominieren. Ich hatte es da nicht sonderlich schwer und habe Rachel von Wooden Spoon ausgewählt. Sie ist eine geniale Künstlerin und eine Nähfreundin aus Neuseeland und ich bin echt stolz, ihren neuen Blog anzukündigen, der gestern an den Start ging. Ich bin schon so neugierig, mehr von ihr zu lesen als nur die Kommentare unter ihren Bilder auf Flickr und Instagram.

Working on a pattern...

Hi there, it´s been a while since I wrote the last sentences, but I was busy in Holiday, sewing some EPP and planning my new quilt pattern DID Diamonds in Diamonds. It´s so much fun, drawing, making the maths and trying your own pattern. Now it´s going to be tested and I am so curious, what the ladies are creating.

Hi ihr da, ich hab schon eine kleine Weile keine Sätze mehr verfasst, aber ich war beschäftig mit Urlaub, ein wenig Handnähen und dem Planen einer neuen Quiltanleitung DID Diamonds in Diamonds. Es macht mir so viel Spaß zu zeichen, rumzurechnen und die eigenen Anleitung auszuprobieren. Jetzt wird sie von netten Probanden getestet und ich bin schon gespannt wie ein Flitzebogen, was die Mädels so zaubern.

This one is a small version of the DID with lots of fussycut.

Dieses Exemplar ist eine kleine Version von DID mit viel Detailgeschnipsel.

And here is the same pattern looking totally different with fantastic fabrics from Artgallery called Indelible designed by Katatrina Roccella.

Und hier die gleiche Anleitung - sieht doch total anders aus, oder? Das sind die genialen Stoffe von Artgallery aus der Serie Indelible designed von Katatrina Roccella.

These fabrics were sponsored by Susanne from Quilt it Out - she runs a fine German online shop, where you can buy these gorgeous fabrics and her great giveaway still runs. I needed 7 fat quarters and some more from the grey fabric .... she is giving away some of these fabrics and an aurifil Box from Indelible... go and visit her.
