MondayMakers and christmas Sewing

Tada, I finished the table runner with the blocks 1 and 4 of Juliannas - Sewing Under Rainbow Last Minute Christmas Sampler QAL. This is so much fun to sew her gorgeous free paper-piecing-pattern. I hope to sew them all if I can find the time. The block in the middle I made last year, when I bought all These lovely Christmas fabrics. But I wasn´t in the mood to sew more Christmas stuff last year, so all the fabrics waited for this QAL :).

Tada, den Tischläufer mit den Blöcken 1 und 4 von Juliannas - Sewing Under Rainbow "Last Minute Christmas Sampler QAL". Es macht so einen Spaß, ihre genialen kostenlosen Paper-Piecing-Blöcke zu nähen. Ich hoffe, ich kann mir die Zeit abknapsen und alle Blöcke mitnähen. Den mittleren Block habe ich schon letztes Jahr genäht, als ich mir die ganzen schönen Weihnachtsstoffe gekauft habe, aber dann irgendwie keine Lust auf Weihnachtsnähen gehabt. Als ob die Stoffe auf diesen QAL gewartet haben :).

This wonderful snow flake block is also from this QAL... I already finished a mini quilt of.

Diese wunderschöne Schneeflocke ist auch aus dem QAL... Ich hab sie schön zu einem Deckchen fertig genäht.

Our Berlin Modern Quilt Guild Meeting yesterday was the perfect place and Moment to finish my blocks 2 and 3 of the QAL. Ich love our Meetings :).

MondayMakers meet the Kaleido Nova Block

Ta Da! I finally finished my 4 blocks for the 4 x 5 Modern Quilt Bee. So glad I joinded this group of great Ladies. I am in the foundation paper piecing group so thought I could make my own pattern for my Partners. And here you go: the Kaleido Nova Block (the Name is a combination of two suggestions on IG to name this block - love the Name). You can get the free templates for this block here on craftsy. I would love to see your versions of this block.

Ta Da! Ich habe endlich meine 4 Blöcke für die 4 x 5 Modern Quilt Bee fertig genäht. Bin so froh, dass ich dieser Gruppe mit so vielen tollen Frauen beigetreten bin. Ich bin in einer Foundation Paper Piecing - nähen auf Papier - Gruppe, also habe ich mir gedacht, dass ich mir selbst einen Block ausdenke. Und hier ist er: der Kaleido Nova Block (der Name ist eine Kombination aus zwei Vorschläge auf IG - finde den Namen klasse). Ihr könnt die Vorlagen für den Block umsonst hier bei craftsy runterladen. Ich würde mich sehr freuen, Eure Version von dem Block zu sehen.

This was a funny sewing week. I had ups and downs and I am glad, everything turned well at the end - I hope ;-).

Das war eine lustige Nähwoche mit Hochs und Tiefs und ich bin froh, dass alles sich zum Guten gewendet hat, hoffe ich ;-).

The mini above will be my contribution to Swap°pen auf Deutsch, the German speaking swap I am organising. I cannot remember that I ripped off something more often than this. You have to be so concentrated when chosing the colors / fabrics because the blocks are not always the same, they mirror and foundation paper piecing at it self is a mirror - oh my, I was confused some times.

Der Mini oben ist wird mein Beiträge zum Swap°pen auf Deutsch, den ich organisiere. Ich kann mich nicht erinnern, wann ich jemals so viel aufgetrennt habe wie hier. Man muss sich echt konzentrieren, damit man die Farben und Stoffe nicht durcheinander bring, da nicht alle Blöcke gleich sind, sondern sich auch spiegeln. Und dann ist auf Papier Nähen ja eh spiegelverkehrt - ich war ab und an etwas verwirrt.

So I had a really good flow at the end of last week, when I recognized that I am short in this blue flower print. Ok, so I started to shout our loud for help and my sewing friend could help me to name this fabric. Then this happened again with the blue / teal fabric with those small seeds on it and nobody could name it. I was lucky enough that Makatrin found it in an online shop where the owner sells this fabric as Quiltfabirc - no Name no nothing, how funny is that. Doesn´t bother me, I am so happy, that I will get those fabrics soon.

So hatte ich echt einen guten Lauf Ende letzter Woche als ich merkte, dass ich nicht genügend vom dem blauen Blümchenstoff habe. Also habe ich einen Aufruf auf Instagram gestartet und hatte Glück, dass mir einige gleich angeboten haben, mir was zu schicken und Susanne von Stoffbreite (aka Quilt It Out) mir gleich den Namen sagen konnte. Dann geschah es wirklich nochmal und ich hatte nicht genug von dem türkisen Stoff mit den Samen - zweimal zu wenig Stoff für ein Projekt - ist mir noch nie passiert!!! Auch wenn ich den Namen des Stoffes immer noch nicht weiß, hat mir Makatrin geholfen, einen Online-Shop zu finden, wo ich ihn kaufen kann - benamt als Quiltstoff ;-).

Well it was a foundation paper Piece week and I could finish two blocks for the 4x5 Modern Quilt Bee - now two more to make until next monday. The foundation paper piecing templates will be in my craftsy shop as a free template soon. Maybee you want to try the one above or this one.

Nun, das war wohl meine "Ich näh auf Papier"-Woche, ich hab noch zwei von 4 Blöcken für meine 4x5 Modern Quilt Bee genäht. Die kostenlosen Vorlagen für den oberen und unteren Block gibt´s bald als Vorlagen in meinem Craftsy-Shop. Vielleicht habt ihr ja Lust die Dinger nachzunähen.
