Just in case you are wondering, why the hell is she making a christmas snow flake in the middle of spring, I will tell you here and now :).
Nur falls ihr euch wundert, warum um Himmels Willen näht sie mitten im Frühling einen Weihnachtsstern, dann will ich es euch gleich hier und jetzt verraten :).
There is a very talented German Lady called Lizinnie on flickr. Well, she had this idea of a project for one year, where a bunch of Ladies come together and be creative. It´s called "Zaungucker" which means, that you always shoud come out of your comfortzone and look in directions you wouldn´t normally. The members of this project are not all sewing, some are making poems, others paint other that fotos.... Every two month there will be a theme (we could through themes in the pot at the beginning) and you just see how you get inspired by this.
Da ist diese super talentierte Frau, die sich auf Flickr Lizinnie nennt. Nun, sie hatte da so eine Idee von einem einjährigen Projekt wo eine Gruppe kreativer Leute zusammenkommen. Sie nennt es "Zaungucker", was so viel meint, wie auch mal über den Tellerrand hinweg zu schauen. Die Mitglieder dieses Projekts nähen nicht alle, manche dichten, andere malen oder fotographieren... Alle zwei Monate gibt es ein Thema (wir konnten anfangs Themen in einen Topf werfen) und dann mal sehen, wie einen die Muse so küsst.
The theme of March/April was "The three Magi", yes, you´ve read right. Christmas was over, spring was coming and I was totally in panic with this theme. I talked about this with my collegue who had an brilliant idea: Play with the skin colors. From that moment I exactly knew what to do. Take this wonderful Christmas Snowflake by Rachel and make it in brouwn tones and in the middle there will be a gift. Three magis and Jesus and the gift. That´s my input for this theme and I am very happy about the result.
Das Thema für März/April war "Die heiligen drei Könige", ja, ihr habt richtig gelesen. Weihnachten war gerade vorbei, der Frühling war am kommen und ich hatte totale Panik vor diesem Thema. Ich hatte mich darüber mit meiner Kollegin unterhalten, die meinte: Spiel doch mit der Hautfarbe der Könige. Da wusste ich dann sofort, was ich machen werde. Nimm diesen tollen Christmas Snowflake von Rachel und nähe es in Brauntönen mit einem Geschenk in der Mitte. Die heiligen drei Könige, Jesus und ein Geschenk. Das ist nun mein Beitrag dazu und ich bin super glücklich mit dem Ergebnis.

We had already one theme and I am very disappointed about my result, but I will show it tot you anyway. The them was "2", just two. I had no idea and so I just came up with this sad mini.
Wir hatten schon ein Thema davor, aber ich bin hier echt enttäuscht über mein Ergebnis, will es euch aber nicht vorenthalten. Das Thema war "2", einfach zwei. Ich hatte überhaupt kein Idee und so habe diesen traurigen Mini gemacht.
Let´s see what the other made with "The three Magi" - maybe I can show you some results, I will aks. And I am very curious about the next theme.
Mal sehen, was den anderen zum Thema "Die heiligen drei Könige" eingefallen ist, vielleich darf ich was zeigen, ich werde mal fragen. Und ich bin natürlich total neugierig auf da nächste Thema.
