MondayMakers and more Bubbles....

I didn´t have much sewing time last week, so I could only pick up the fabrics for my next bubbles and sew three bubbles Saturday night. So sorry, that it takes much more time as I thought to finish the pattern, but I hope to finish it next Weekend :).

Ich hatte letzte Woche nicht so viel Zeit zum Nähen und habe erstmal die Stoffe für die nächsten Bubbles rausgesucht und wenigstens 3 neue Samstag Nacht genäht. So blöd, dass ich mehr Zeit brauche für die Anleitung, als gedacht, aber vielleicht schaffe ich das übers nächste Wochenende :).

First MondayMakers in 2015

Hope you got all nicely in the new year - this will be a good one, I feel it :).

Hoffe, ihr seid alle gut ins neue Jahr gekommen, das wird ein gutes, ich fühle es :).

I was busy in sewing, but not too much. And all of my sewings are quiet secret so I can only Show you some sneak peeks like the start of my new quilt pattern Bubbles above and my new epp pattern for the next edition of Fat Quarterly - the modern quilting e-zine in February.

Ich war über die Tage beschäftigt mit nähen, aber nicht zu sehr. Und alles was ich gemacht habe war einigermaßen "geheim", so dass ich Euch nur kleine Häppchen zeigen kann, wie z.B. meine neue Quiltanleitung oben - Bubbles oder mein EPP Muster für die nächste Ausgabe des Modern Quilting E-Zines Fat Quarterly im Februar.

MondayMakers ... Almost Christmas...

I made another block of Joannas - Sewing UnderRainbow "Last Minute Christmas Sampler QAL": Her Folk Snowflake! This is my absolutly most loved block ever. It Comes together so elegant and smooth... I love it... But in m,y euphoria I made a mistake I only saw after I made a picture and posted it on IG.

Ich habe noch einen von Joannas - Sewing Under Rainbow "Last Minute Christmas Sampler QAL" Blöcke genäht: Den Folk Snowflake. Das ist mein absoluter Lieblingsblock... so elegant und so geschmeidig... Ich liebe ihn... Aber in meiner Euphorie habe ich einen Fehler gemacht, den ich erst auf dem Bild gesehen habe, nachdem ich es schon bei IG eingestellt hatte.

Your comments were so sweet... some of you even refused to look for the mistake :). I repaired it, so let´s see, if you can notice it. Here some help: it´s one of the red leaves... I couldn´t let it this way, so I ripped of the main seam and the horizontal seam to sew in some Background fabric and closed the holes again :). You can bet, that I was so glad, that this worked!

Eure Kommentare waren so süß.. einige von Euch haben sich sogar geweigert, den Fehler zu suchen :). Aber kein Problem mehr, ich habe ihn repariert, also mal sehen, ob ihr ihn findet. Hier ein wenig Hilfe: es ist eines der roten Blätter... Ich konnte nicht anders, als es zu beheben, also habe ich die Hauptnaht und eine horizontale Naht aufgetrennt und ein wenig von dem Hintergrundstoff dagegen genäht und die "Löcher" wieder gestopft :). Da könnt ihr aber einen drauf lassen, dass ich froh bin, dass das funktioniert hat!

And then I got the best swapping item of the whole swap for me!!! This gorgeous bag is made by Kris - Zaynoo. It´s me and her in one Piece - thank you so much for this so Special and unique bag. Made me so happy :))))).

Und dann habe ich auch noch das beste Swappingteil des gesamten Swaps bekommen!!! Diese grandiose Tasche hat Kris - Zaynoo für mich genäht. Das sind Sie und ich in einem Stück - vielen Dank für diese so besondere einzigartige Tasche. Bin voll glücklich damit :)))).

Well, that´s not the end of last week. I finished this logcabin top of this custom order baby quilt yesterday night. The cutstomer needs it tomorrow in the afternoon (I work whole day) or on the 10th of January, and I thought I want to be ready with it before Christmas - so let´s see if I can finish it tonight.

Nun und das war noch nicht das Ende der letzten Woche. Ich habe gestern Nacht das Logcabin-Top füreinen Babyquilt einer Kundenbestellung fertig genäht. Entweder braucht man ihn morgen nachmittag (ich arbeite heute den ganzen Tag) oder erst am 10ten Januar. Ich hoffe, ich mach das Ding heute Abend fertig...

MondayMakers meet Bee Germany

I spend my Weekend somewhere in Germany with my Bee GErmany Mates and had a wonderful time. It´s so great to be a sewing nerd among other sewing nerds ;-).

Ich habe mein Wochenende irgendwo in der Lüneburger Heide mit meinen Bee Germany Mädels verbracht und hatte eine wundervolle Zeit. Es ist einfach genial als NähNerd unter anderen NähNerds zu verweilen ;-).

This is the fourth time we meet in two years now and it seams, as if we are going to do this the next thousand years. The time ran and now the "normal" life is back. Thanks Ladies for the great time....

Das ist nun schon das vierte Mal in zwei Jahren und es sieht so aus, als ob wire das noch die nächsten Tausend Jahre so machen werden. Die Zeit ist natürlich dahin gerannt und das "normale" Leben hat uns zurück. Vielen Dank, Ihr Lieben, es war toll!!!

MondayMakers meet Scraps

When I came home on Saturday after a very busy day at 9 o´clock in the evening - cleaning up the flat, being taxi for my girl who played 2! games on one day (12 and 18 o´clock) and of course watching them and doing this and that in other parts of my City while we had the Berlin Marathon which means lots of streets closed, I remembered Leannes - "she can quilt"- post about scraps and so - Leanne and Nicky are organising the Scrapatastic Tuesday on Instagram (same hashtag). I needed something to bring me down from this day and I started to sew small logcabins from my scraps inspired by CauchyComplete. My cleaned table was a creative mess in seconds and I loved it!!!

Als ich am Samstag Abend um 9 nach einem sehr vollen Tag nach Hause kam - Wohnung aufräumen, Taxi für meine Tochter spielen, die gleich zwei Spiele um 12 und um 18 Uhr hatte inkl. Zuschauen natürlich, ein paar Dinge hier und dort erledigen in den unterschiedlichsten Bezirken von Berlin inkl. Absperrungen zum Berlin Marathon, habe ich mich an Leannes - she can quilt Post erinnert über scaprs und so. Leanne und Nicky organisieren den Scraptastic Tuesday auf Instagram (gleicher Hashtag). Ich brauchte an diesem Abend dringend etwas, um mich runter zu bringen also habe ich angefangen inspiriert von CauchyComplete kleine Logcabins aus meinen Resten zu nähen. Mein aufgeräumter Tisch hat sich binnen Sekunden in ein kreatives Chaos verwandelt und ich liebe es!



After finishing one I couldn´t stop and made four.... as you can imagine it was really late that night....

Nachdem ich einen genäht hatte, konnte ich nicht aufhören und machte wenigstens vier... wie ihr Euch vorstellen könnt, war es echt spät...

Played a bit with layouts for the logcabins - one is about 5.5 inch, so some spripes are 0,25 inch.

Hab ein wenig mit Layouts für die süßen Blöcke rumgespielt - einer ist ungefähr 14 cm groß, so dass einige Streifen auch nur 0,6 cm breit sind.

Waking up the next morning I was more realistic again and I knew, I Need not another bit Project, so what to do with those logcabins. And then I had the idea making hot-bottle bag covers :). I could sell them on my Christmas market and so I had a look on our cover we have at home and here you go...

Aufgewacht am nächsten Morgen war mir klar, dass ich kein neues großes Projekt brauche, nun was tun mit den süßen Blöcken. Dann hatte ich die Idee mit den Wärmflaschenhüllen, die kann ich bestimmt gut auf dem Weihnachtsmarkt im Dezember verkaufen :).

Schnell unsere Hülle zu Hause angeschaut und hier ist sie nun...

And I am so happy, that it fits!!! More will follow...

Und ich bin so glücklich, dass es passt!!! Weitere werden folgen...

WIP Wednesday meets PTS10 - No. 2

My WIP for this wednesday is my Pillow Talk {Swap} 10 pillow for my partner. I am so glad I started yesterday. I sewed 3 of 8 log-cabin-rectangles and was so tired, that I stopped. I posted about the pattern I am trying to make for her. Looking over to my table from my sofa, I decides to stand up again and at least cut the 1,5 inch stripes for the missing 5 rectangels. Hope I can finish the rectangels and start to draw the curve pattern and to cut the rectangles. Still not sure about the background fabric - shall I go scrappy in low volumes or a solid in white or sand? Hm, we will see...

Mein WIP für diesen Mittwoche ist das Pillow Talk {Swap} 10  Kissen für meine Partnerin. Ich bin so froh, dass ich gestern angefangen habe und wenigstens schon 3 von 8 Log-Cabin-Rechtecken genäht habe. Aber ich war dann so müde, dass ich aufhören musste. Ich hatte von dem Muster, das ich für sie machen möchte, hier berichtet. Vom Sofa aus hat mich dann mein Tisch die ganze Zeit so strafend angeschaut... ok, ich bin wieder aufgestanden und habe wenigstens die 1,5 inch Streifen für die fehlenden 5 Blöcke fertig geschnitten. Hoffe, dass ich heute die Rechtecke fertig nähe und das Schnittmuster für die Kurven aufmale und ausschneide. Bin aber immer noch nicht sicher, was ich mit dem Hintergrund mache - Scrappy in Off-Farben oder uni weiß oder sand? Hm, wir werden sehen...
