MondayMaker - Glorious Week

Oh my, this was a busy week. I made 2 new bag pattern and love them (pattern will be available in April, I hope), sewed two pillows from bee blocks and love them too :), made lots of baskets - what shall I say - love them :). And the scrap corners of these baskets became a fun tote.

Oh man, das war eine nähreiche Woche. Ich habe zwei Taschen entworfen und liebe sie (Anleitungen soll es ab April geben, hoffe ich), habe zwei Kissen genäht, die aus Bee Blöcken bestehen und ich liebe sie auch :), ich hab ne Menge Körbchen gemacht - und was soll ich Euch sagen: Ich liebe sie :). Und aus den Resteecken der Körbe hab ich noch einen fröhlichen Beutel genäht.

Just in case you are wondering, what the manic woman is doing with all these sewing stuff: I will be on a market next Weekend and hopefully selling some of the things I sewed the last weeks. If you are in Berlin next Weekend, come and visit me :).

Nur für den Fall, dass ihr Euch wundert, was die verrückte Frau mit all dem genähten Zeug macht: Ich werde nächstes Wochenende auf dem Markt stehen und hoffentlich einige der genähten Dinge an die Frau / den Mann bringen. Falls ihr nächstes Wochenende in Berlin seid, besucht mich doch :).

MoStashBee goes Round 2 with New York Beauties

I cannot tell you how lucky I am beeing part of the MoStashBee. Round 1 is beeing finished this month and I couldn´t resist and signed in for round 2 :).
Every one of my group was fantastic, gave it´s best and made goregous blocks as you can see in the flickr group and we were always in time or much earlier.

Ich kann Euch gar nicht sagen, wie glücklich ich bin, Teil der MoStashBee zu sein. Runde 1 läuft diesen Monate gerade aus und ich konnte nicht widerstehen, auch in Runde 2 dabei zu sein.
Jeder in dieser Bee ist fantastisch, gibt sein Bestes und macht wunderbare Blöcke wie man in der Flickr Gruppe sehen kann. Ganz abgesehen davon, dass jeder pünktlich bis super schnell ist.

Now it´s time for my turn in July for round 2 and again we are going with curves - I love curves and so I thought the Ladies of my new group could help me coming along with my New York Scrappy Beauty Quilt. I Need some more blocks with NY Beauties and with circles only,  hope this will be fun for them. These are the blocks I made so far...

Nun ist es Zeit, für Juli, meinen Monat  in Runde 2 ein Thema vorzugeben und wieder wird es kurvig. Was soll ich machen, ich liebe nun mal Kurven und so denke ich, dass mir die Damen doch bei meinem New York Scrappy Beauty Quilt weiter helfen können. Ich brauche noch ein paar NY-Beauty Blöcke und einige mir Kreisen und ich hoffe, sie werden Spaß damit haben. Here die Blöcke, die ich bisher gemacht habe...

Bee Germany meets MoStash Bee

I am going to make a quilt for a special person for a special date (I think she could read it, so there are no more information ;-). So I asked my two bees making blocks for me - the Bee Germany and the MoStash Bee - Blue Bloods Hive.

Ich möchte für jemand besonderes zu einem besonderen Tag einen Quilt nähen (Ich denke, es könnte sein, dass sie es liest, daher keine weiteren Infos ;-). So kam es, dass ich meine beiden Bees mit Blöcken hierfür beauftragt habe - die Bee Germany und die  MoStash Bee - Blue Bloods Hive.

Yesterday I got the last two blocks and I am so sad, that I cannot start immediately to sew the together. It´s the first time, that I new how to quilt a quilt before I started... inspired by all these great circle quiltings I want to sew cirlcles starting in one point, but not in the middle. I think I will or have to finish it in June...
 
Gestern habe ich meine letzten zwei Blöcke bekommen, do dass ich doch schon ein wenig traurig bin, dass ich nicht gleich loslegen kann... Ein Novum ist jedoch, dass ich schon vor dem ersten Block wußte, wie ich den Quilt quilten werde. Inspiriert bei den tollen Kreis-Quiltings werde ich an einem nicht zentralen Punkt anfange und bis zum Rand in Kreisen quilten. Es wird wohl im Juni genäht, habe keine andere Wahl...

This pattern is from the book Srcap Republic from Emily Cier. I love this book, it is one of those I could always look at, because of these happy colors she uses. I was so glad, that I could imaginge her Pivot in Scraps in pink and grey... this will be right her alley - hopefully ;-)

Das Muster habe ich aus dem Buch Srcap Republic von Emily Cier. Ich liebe dieses Buch, es ist eins, dass ich immer wieder raushole und anschaue, weil sie so fröhliche Farben benutzt. Ich war echt froh, als ich Ihr Pivot in Scraps gesehen habe und es mir auch in rosa und grau vorstellen konnte. Es wird genau ihr Ding  - hoffentlich ;-).

This is the layout with the blocks of the Bee Germany, my MoStash Bee Blocks came later, because I had the April. I sent the fabrics for the Bee Germany and even I used over 25 greys, you can still see the repeating, so I thought it would be fantastic to get blocks from the stash from others, that´s why I also asked the Ladies of the MoStash Bee. This was a very good decision. All blocks are so gorgeous!!!

Das ist das Layout ausgelegt mit den Bee Germany Blöcken, meine MoStash BeeBlöcke kamen etwas später, da ich hier den April hatt. Der Bee Germany habe ich die Stoffe geschickt und über 25 unterschiedliche graus verwendet und trotzdem sieht man sie sich wiederholen. So kam die Idee, dass auch die Mädels der MoStash Bee mir den selben Block mit IHREN stoffen schicken. Das war eine super Idee. Alle Blöcke sehen echt fantastisch aus!!!

To Do List Done :)

I decided to sew things that should be mailed today...
Habe beschlossen, Sachen zu nähen, die ich heute mit der Post noch auf den Weg schicken muss...

First I finished three blocks of a secret project psssssst... cannot tell you about it yet... I used the sizes Rachel used in her stunning quilt.
Als erstes ging´s los mit drei Plus-Blöcke für ein geheimes Projekt. Pssssst... ich kann aber noch nichts verraten. Rachel hat so einen tollen Quilt aus diesen Blöcken gezaubert.

Well, I also made the blocks for Bee Germany. Miriam from Berlinquilter asked us to make some scappy Tumbling Blocks with her fabrics using this fantastic and funny tutorial on You tube for Y-seams. I was so surprised how easy this is to sew... Loved to make these cute blocks...
Nun, die Blöcke für die Bee Germany habe ich dann auch noch erledigt. Miriam von Berlinquilter hat uns Tumbling Blöcke aus Ihren Scraps zur Aufgabe gestellt und uns dieses tolle und lustige Video auf You Tube für Y-Nähte gefunden.... Hat unglaublich Spaß gemacht, die Blöcke zu nähen, hatte ich mir viel schwerer vorgestellt...

May is the Month of Kelly from geekscissors in The Modern Stash Quilting Bee. Because she is moving and other things she decided to - kind of - donate her bee-blocks for the To Boston with Love Project. This is so sweet of her.. Of course I hurried up to make two more flags, because the deadline is the 26th of May. Sometimes it takes a while over the ocean...
