Stringbags vs. Ikea

This morning I made a stringbag, to show at the fair I am going to in June. Stringbags are nothing new to me. This is one of ten I made for the first birthday of my girl to give them to the other kids beeing with us to celebrate it. This is not in use anymore - I keep it for her when she is grown up :)!

I made some since then, but this week Svetlana made her version of beautiful string bags. They are so lovely and the best of them is the label on it. I love the idea of a leather and fabric label - soo cool. She is so kind to work on a tutorial for her string bag - so watch her blog ;-).
So I had the idea of labeling my string bags and stamp the name of the kids on it right on the fair... love the idea!

This is my prototype. Hier der Prototyp.

It´s really hard to find fabrics for boys, so I decides to go to Ikea. it´s not a problem of the way: 8 minutes by car from us, BUT it´s more a problem of  saying NO! I only wanted to by a red and a checked fabric.... There are not the frames on the picture I bought too :(
But I am sure, it´s not only my problem with IKEA ;-)

Thanks for stopping by / Danke für´s Vorbeischauen

  5. If it was only 8 minutes to IKEA from my house it would be bad. I would go all the time, it is across town so seems like a big trip. If you label the bags at the fair, you should sell lots I think.
